History

From a middle school in 1994 to a school and girls' college.

Founding

Dawn Middle School was founded in Chichawatni in 1994 by Rana Zahoor Ali Khan. He was a revered educator in Chichawatni who established Dawn High School out of a vision to provide quality education and build a strong academic foundation for the local youth. Driven by a deep commitment to teaching, he sought to create an institution centred on discipline, hard work and student success. Former students and community members remember him as an exceptionally dedicated, hardworking and selfless teacher who devoted his life to mentoring students and leaving a lasting educational legacy in the region.

Our legacy and journey of growth

From a single vision to one of Chichawatni’s premier educational institutions, the story of Dawn High School & Girls College is defined by academic excellence, disciplined character building and continuous growth. Founded by the late Rana Zahoor Ali Khan, the institution was established to deliver quality education and instil strong moral values in the youth of our community.

Over the decades, that commitment has transformed a single initiative into a comprehensive educational complex spanning early childhood education, secondary schooling and higher secondary college programs.

1. Early foundations and the first matriculation landmark

What began with a clear mission quickly gained the trust of local families seeking academic rigour and disciplined training. The graduation of our very first Matriculation (Grade 10) batch marked a defining milestone. High board scores and top positions established Dawn High School’s reputation for academic quality across the Sahiwal Division.

2. Campus expansion and purpose-built infrastructure

To accommodate a growing student body, the leadership continuously expanded campus infrastructure. Purpose-built multi-storey blocks feature spacious classrooms, dedicated administrative wings, secure recreation areas and structured assembly spaces — creating a safe, focused environment designed for holistic learning.

3. Science and IT laboratories

Recognising the importance of hands-on learning, the institution developed modern Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science laboratories. Equipped with standard experimental apparatus and updated computer systems, these labs allow students to move from theoretical understanding to practical application, consistently achieving outstanding results in board practical examinations.

4. Integrated Hifz-ul-Quran and character education

Education at Dawn High School extends beyond textbooks. We established a specialised Hifz-ul-Quran program, enabling young learners to memorise the Holy Quran under qualified guidance while remaining fully in step with their mainstream academic curriculum. Moral discipline, Islamic ethics and personal integrity remain core to daily school life.

5. Establishment of Dawn Girls College

To fulfil a vital need for safe, quality higher secondary education for young women in Chichawatni, the management opened Dawn Girls College. Offering intermediate streams in F.Sc. Pre-Medical, F.Sc. Pre-Engineering, ICS (Computer Science) and F.A. / General Science, the college empowers female students to pursue university admissions and professional careers within a secure, dedicated environment.

6. Structured academic management and BISE preparation

Our academic growth is anchored in systematic curriculum delivery. From middle school through high school and college, courses are structured with term-wise syllabus breakdowns, regular revision test schedules and rigorous mock examinations. This disciplined system consistently prepares students for top performance in BISE board examinations.

7. Administrative digitisation and modernisation

In step with modern institutional standards, the administration has introduced automated school management. From digitised student records, daily attendance and streamlined fee ledgers to official digital announcements, our administration ensures transparent and efficient communication with parents.

8. Co-curricular leadership and summer enrichment

We believe in building confident, well-rounded personalities. Through speech competitions, science exhibitions, sports events and summer enrichment camps, students develop public speaking, teamwork, analytical thinking and leadership — skills that serve them long after graduation.
